Adenoids are located at the back of nose and are not needed. They occasionally contribute to ear problems.
After Surgery
It is ok to give the patient some Tylenol or Motrin if there is discomfort.
Children are often fussy until the anesthetic wears off… this may take a few hours.
Expect the child to have bad breath for 7 to 10 days. This is not an infection. It is merely the healing process.

Folow-up will be with Dr. Szwarc in approximately two or three weeks. If this is inconvenient, we follow-up appointment can be shifted to a slightly later date.
